The Story

Each and every client brings something completely different to the design table and this project is no different. What makes it more interesting is when what a client brings surprises the design team and pushes the  normal conventions of what most homeowners what from their home. JASON BALL interiors was brought into this project to help transform an outdated and less than functional space into one with cutting-edge style and rich design details. The clients and JBi worked tirelessly as a team to bring in just the right amount of glitz and glam, but remain true to the desire for an elegant and functional home. The tone in the kitchen is anchored by the custom chrome legs on the island and then carried throughout in a backsplash comprised of Thassos marble and mirrored tiles in a strong geometric pattern. The traditional eating nook is transformed into a kitchen "lounge" with black leather chairs, custom oval zigzag patterned rug and furry ottoman (the cats favorite hang out). This newly defined space is the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee or hang out while dinner is being prepared. The adjacent family room also gets the special treatment with a range of strong design details. Geometric patterns in gold and gray abound, complimented with a bold art piece above the custom fireplace surround. A custom area rug anchors the space in both pattern and color creating a comfortable place to watch tv or entertain guests. The final and unifying touch is the polished Carrara marble floor through the three spaces bringing in that true cosmopolitan feel to this home in Southern Oregon.
