Commercial Interior Designcommercial design example

Different than residential design, the design of commercial spaces tends to be more functional-based.Places of business need storage, work surfaces, lighting (other than harsh, overhead fluorescents) and places for large gatherings of people to hold meetings. But, there are many tenets of interior design that cross over between residential and commercial. The most important of these is that the space must reflect those who occupy the space. In a commercial setting, Jason Ball Interiors works closely with the business to design an interior environment which reflects the brand image and meets all the specific requirements of the space.

You will notice there are no pictures of past commercial projects on this site. This is intentional. Each commercial space I complete is designed for that specific company and reflects only that brand. The other portfolio pictures shown on this site illustrate our ability to complete good design. It is our responsibility to translate our interior design knowledge into your specific space.

Here are some recently completed commercial projects:

Full design for a clothing design business, including custom conference table, reception desk and office furniture for entire space. We also created an "employee lounge" area complete with sectional and additional lighting - perfect for those casual team meetings.

Mexican restaurant in NE Portland gets a complete look after being purchased. In what was a Portland fixture, a new restauranteur takes over a great space and gives the space a good sprucing up. Lighting, paint and some brand image appropriate design details give this space new life.

Consulting business that has been in the same location for nearly 30 years is given a contemporary look with lighting, paint colors, custom signs. This redo involved the reception area, conference room and employee kitchen.

Law office in Beaverton get a completely new look with art and accessories. Sometimes that's all it takes to really bring a new feel to a space.
